K-Hill – The Declaration of an Independent (Video)
Shouts to the homie, K, & Depth of Sound for putting together a dope visual to go along with this banger of a track. I did the cover art to the single last month or so, & now the video is set to blast this joint off even further. Make sure you check it out, and be on the lookout for Motivational Speaker, due out soon…
I am performing tonight in Greenville, NC
Shoutout to GreenStar Clothing for putting together this event tonight at the Tank in Greenville. This is my first time performing in the 252 since a couple gigs last fall, and I am eager to get back to Pirate Country. G-Vegas always looked out for me in the past, so I am set to tear the roof off that biotch tonight. As normal for my shows down there, I am sharing the stage with H2OKZ & DJ Brillowhead. Also, Lamont Coal will be blessing everyone with his creativeness, performing beats and sequencing live, while bringing out NCHipHop monsters, K-Hill & J Capri. So make sure you come out and support a dope show with a dope lineup. It’s Greenville, so there will be insane drink specials and lots of women. Catch me on stage around midnight. See you there…
K-Hill – The Declaration of an Independent feat. Dasan Ahanu (Free Download)
Shoutouts to two NC legends, K-Hill & Dasan Ahanu, for teaming up on this new jam. If you are unfamiliar with Hill, then you are oblivious to NC Hip Hop. However, if Dasan Ahanu is a new name to you, you need to research this NC spoken word pioneer. This cat has been one of the main forces behind the triangle’s poetry scene for many moons, and his hardwork has been highly recognized. He has made several dope appearances on joints with NC artists, and this one is no different. Get enlightened, and stay tuned for the official release of K-Hill’s upcoming mixtape, Motivational Speaker. Until then, download The Declaration of an Independent here for FREE now…
Take Another Look: Madwreck Remixes Picture This
Shoutout to Madwreck from coming through with this dope ass Remix project. It features a ton of NC emcees including Supastition(Kam Moye), Phonte, K-Hill, Chaundon, Sean Boog, Kaze and Median. Ontop of that, it’s a star studded project, and stands tall next to it’s predecessor. Here is some more info:
Take Another Look , dropping December 12th, is the brainchild of producer, MC & occasional DJ, Madwreck. After being tapped to contribute a remix for Beat*Society’s most recent release, he inquired about the acapellas for the entire album. After months of work , the end result was a cohesive new musical backdrop that makes the listener forget there was even an original version.
It’s insanely inexpensive and well worth the download. So pick it up here…
K-Hill – Millions (Prod. by Picasso) Video
Shoutout to K-Hill for this joint. I had the honor of editing it, and I really think it came out dope. Look for all the NC Hip Hop artists cameos at the club shot, that ish is bonkers. & shouts to Picasso for hitting K off with such a banger of a beat. Achilles Hill out soon…
“Money, Money” feat. K. Hill (prod. by Ced Hughes)
Make sure you download this joint that I was lucky enough to get K. Hill on a few years back. “Money, Money” was the single off of my 2008 mixtape, The Self Portrait, which was the prelude to The Investment. Not only did K. Hill lay down a dope verse, but the beat was made by the supertalented emcee/producer Ced Hughes. If you like this song, you can download the whole mixtape here…
K. Hill – Why Don’t Cha?
This video will always be a classic to K. Hill & I. & I hope the rest of the NC Hip Hop community feels the same. This video came about as Hill hit me up and told me he needed a quick, one-shot video done as promotion for a video that producer NickThe1der was putting together. He invited me to his homeboy, Ali’s crib, and after a quick sesh, we knocked out about 10 shots on the makeshift green screen that Ali had made in his garage. The kicker is that I had never worked with green screen before. But after a few tutorials and a little bit of creativity, the video for “Why Don’t Cha?” sprung to life. This was another one of my first videos that made a splash on the major blogs. Check it out…

K. Hill Performs “Kick In The Door”
If you were at the Cats Cradle the night this video was taken, you know exactly how lucky you were. 9th Wonder brought both Dj Premier & Pete Rock to NC for this monumental night. They both sat onstage as various performers cycled back and forth between classics from the two producers. If that wasn’t enough, the performers were also backed by the Apple Juice Kid and his band, the Remix Project. K. Hill literally kicked in the door of the evening with this Biggie classic. Another highlight about this video, is that this was my first of anything, video or music, to get posted on some of the major blogs. & the footage came from my Flip camera! Haha. Enjoy this classic moment in NC Hip Hop. I definitely did…

Hill today, make sure you are there…
O.N.E. Interview with K. Hill (2008)
This is an interview that I did with K. Hill awhile back when I was trying to get my initial blog started. Although I never got the ball rolling successfully with the site, K. still proved to be a dope interview. Listen as he talks about upcoming projects, the North Cack, and how he ended up on the Jean Grae album. There is also a performance from Local 506 mixed into the interview, and an intro by Skyzoo…
